Proposed Secondary Pension Scheme: Results of our survey

We would like to thank our members who took part in our survey.

A good proportion of island businesses, primarily in the eCommerce, retail and professional/consultancy sectors, gave their views to Chamber relating to the proposed secondary pension scheme.

From Chamber’s survey this week it was noted that the majority of local businesses did not currently offer a pension provision and three quarters of replies had not yet investigated costings relating to an introduction of such a pension scheme.

It is important that the States continue to actively assist in getting the basic legal responsibilities over to business.

We are aware that there is to be public presentation next Monday 7th March at 7.00pm in the Island Hall –  organised by Guernsey’s Committee for Employment & Social Security.
