SECONDARY PENSION SCHEME – Mandatory from Next Year!
IMPORTANT PRESENTATION FOR ALL ALDERNEY EMPLOYERS:
WEDNESDAY 15 MARCH 12:00 FOR 12:30PM
AT THE BRAYE BEACH HOTEL
Finger Buffet & refreshments courtesy of the Alderney Chamber of Commerce & the Gower Group
Businesses in Alderney & Guernsey now have some certainty about changing pension legislation, following the news that the States recently approved the implementation of a new ‘Secondary Pension scheme’.
The new rules mean that businesses will need to provide their employees with access to a qualifying pension scheme and to automatically enrol them.
However, not all pension schemes fit the bill, so even if you already have a scheme in place, you will need to ensure that it qualifies. Depending on the size of your business, you may need to have something in place by January 2024, when the proposed legislation comes into force.
There are several pensions schemes available to help you comply with the legislation, including the default scheme provided by the States, Your Island Pension.
The Gower Group have many years of experience in providing pensions to individuals and companies in Alderney and Guernsey.
During a 30-minute presentation which will be followed by a Q & A session, Financial Adviser Paul McCormick and Pension Trustee Scott Rowe, will guide you through the options available – from using the default States scheme, to setting up a private scheme tailored specifically to your company’s needs.
Information will be provided on contribution rates for employers and employees, as well as the start dates for different business sizes
Make sure you don’t miss this important presentation!
Please confirm you will attend.
