Alderney residents, businesses and community organisations are being invited to share their views on the island’s future connectivity as part of a new community engagement project being undertaken by 1HOP.
1HOP, an upcoming marketplace, is exploring how improved connectivity could support Alderney – including its residents, businesses, visitors and wider community, and is currently gathering local insight to better understand the island’s needs, challenges and opportunities.
As part of this work, 1HOP will be holding a community drop-in at the Old Post Office, 18 Victoria Street, Alderney, from 31 August to 4 September between 9am-3pm.
The informal drop-in will give members of the community an opportunity to find out more about the project, speak directly with the 1HOP team and share their views, ideas and experiences around connectivity to and from Alderney.
Alderney Chamber members and businesses are particularly encouraged to take part, with business connectivity and access being an important part of understanding the island’s wider requirements.
Can’t make the drop-in?
The community can still have its say by completing a short, two-minute survey here.
The survey is designed to capture views from across Alderney, including those who may not be able to attend the community sessions in person.
To download the survey, please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/1HopClub
For those who would like to provide more detailed feedback, a deeper-dive survey is also available on request.
Please contact Abbie Grey at info@openalderney.com to receive it.
1HOP welcomes views, questions and ideas from across the community, including suggestions about how better connectivity could support Alderney’s businesses,
economy and quality of life.
