Easter 2020 – an Easter as we have never known.
Locked churches, an empty harbour and no tourists.
Yet Alderney continues in its own indomitable way. We thank everyone who has stepped up to play their part.
It is good to hear that there may be a chink of light showing through the previously closed door. As William Tate has said, we are not wanting to debate or argue against Guernsey’s dictates and advice, we merely wish to tweak and adapt where it is deemed safe and logical to do so.
We are pleased to hear that our CEO Andrew Muter will remain in his position until this crisis has ended. At such times, strong leadership is essential – and we have this in both William and Andrew.
Enjoy this splendid weather within the confines of what we can and can’t do.
My best wishes and keep safe,
Andrew Eggleston – President
Alderney Chamber of Commerce
