YOUR THOUGHTS ON POTENTIAL TAXES
GST+ ** Corporation Tax ** Hospitality Tax **
It is positive to see that Guernsey is including Alderney directly in discussions relating to the topics of potential GST+, Corporation Tax and Hospitality Tax.
As such, our States has requested a meeting with Chamber Council to gain a feel for the pros and cons of such taxes from our members.
Guernsey’s Chief Minister, Lindsay de Sausmarez, talking with States Members Jeannie Cameron and Veronica Taylor, has said that although she voted against GST+ that had been agreed in their previous administration, it was only correct to continue the debate bringing in how Alderney itself could be affected and what exemptions there may be.
