Putting forward the need for our islands to work together more closely to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure, a good mix of Chamber and States Members enjoyed a thought provoking power point presentation by Chris Brock, the Principal of Islefact in Guernsey.
Chris, a former Guernsey Deputy and director of business development for the States of Alderney, focused on the latest island economics, fiscal, social and environmental trends – and the impact these can have on small jurisdictions.
Chamber President Andrew Eggleston thanked Chris for offering the presentation to Alderney first before it is run out in the other islands, and agreed that it is becoming evident that economies of scale policies throughout the islands could be the most effective strategy for the future
